Dr. Kelly Reilly is the Vice President of the Patient Experience, Vice President of Pediatric Nursing, and the Chief Learning Officer for Nursing at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Reilly is passionate about advancing nursing practice and improving outcomes of patients, families, communities and populations. Her work focuses on empowering nurses to pursue academic progression and lifelong learning, and to participate at all levels of organizations.
Dr. Reilly is an experienced leader in both the clinical and academic settings. Her educational and research priorities include educational assessment and evaluation, organizational and leadership development, and patient safety. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing students and has mentored more than 20 Doctor or Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students.
Dr. Reilly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Adelphi University, Master’s Degree in Nursing from Drexel University, and a Post Masters Certificate and PhD from Villanova University. She is certified in Professional Development through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In 2014, Dr. Reilly was selected as a Jonas Leadership Scholar. She was also awarded the Nurse.com regional award for Advancing the Profession in 2015 and the Nightingale Initiative of Global Health award for Advocacy and Innovation in 2017.
