Announcing a Second NEF Maternal-Infant and Pediatric Scholarship, The Allison Adams Wieczorek Scholarship Fund

In June of 2021 when the Rita Reiss Wieczorek’s Scholarship for Maternal – Infant and Pediatric Nursing reached the permanent scholarship goal of $50,000. Dr. Wieczorek requested that the additional funds received for her scholarship be distributed to a second scholarship for Maternal – Infant and Pediatric nursing, honoring her daughter-in-law and longstanding NEF Board member, Allison Adams Wieczorek. NEF Gains Four New Scholarships in 2021 and 2022

NEF Vice President Cynthia Sculco has facilitated the establishment of the following four new NEF Scholarships. All three scholarships donated by the Mary Insall Foundation.

NEF Proudly Announces the Charles Hamlin Scholarship

In June 2022, the Charles Hamlin Scholarship Fund reached the permanent NEF scholarship goal of $50,000.

This scholarship established by Dr. Charles Hamlin, renowned orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand, honors Mary Vass, RN. Preference for this scholarship will be given to a nurse with Native American heritage, or a nurse focusing on the care of Native American people, or a nurse devoted to the field of orthopedics. This award underscores the importance of the study and care of people of diverse cultures as well as the specialty of orthopedics and orthopedic nursing care. read more.
