Tiffany N. Bell is the recipient of the Edith M. Pritchard Scholarship. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis, TN. As a registered nurse, she knew she would advance her career as a nurse practitioner and it would allow her the opportunity to practice autonomously and provide comprehensive care as a medical provider.

She received a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans. She and two of her graduate colleagues’ award-winning work on “The Effects of Television & Media on Childhood Obesity” granted them recognition within their graduate program and Dillard University’s Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau’s International Honor Society of Nursing. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, she has embraced her role as an opportunity to empower individuals concerning their health through education and patient-focused care.

Through her passion and dedication to assisting individuals to reach their full health potential, she has conducted community wellness programs; coordinated health fairs; and has spoken at various health symposiums for healthy living. She is a published author of “Sample and See: A Taste of Healthy Living”, a recipe book compiled in a way that anyone regardless of where they are on their health journey could feel confident reproducing the recipes.

She is currently obtaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL. She is a founding member and president of the Interprofessional Leaders in Healthcare Association, the University of St. Augustine’s student chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives which cultivates leadership through professional development, networking opportunities, and the skills necessary to become effective change agents to positively impact healthcare for patients and organizations. Her extended knowledge through focused research and patient-centered objectives will allow her to delve deeper and provide the tools necessary for developing programs that encourage healthy living through affordable, fun, and interactive strategies with measurable and sustainable outcomes to minimize the obesity epidemic that is plaguing our country.

Her goal is to further empower individuals globally to take control of their health to live longer and more fruitful lives. She plans to continue her focused efforts in the South, where limited resources and the greatest disparity in healthcare exists. One of her long-term goals is to speak at conferences and on world stages about public and preventative health focusing on programs and services available to all. She believes, that by providing essential self-care tools which promote healthy nutrition, sleep, and physical habits, cycles of generational reactive disease management will be broken, cultivating proactive disease prevention.
