NEF Scholarship winner, is a bilingual (English/French) dual citizen (United States/Canada) who discovered her passion for nursing while volunteering at a health clinic in Cameroon, West Africa, twenty-five years ago. Upon earning her RN diploma in Nova Scotia she began working as a community/public health/outpost nurse on the Indian reserves of northern Ontario and Manitoba. After moving to Boston, she worked as a HIV/Aids nurse case manager, nurse supervisor of an immunization program, and a clinical informatics specialist. During this time she received her BSN (summa cum laude) from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and her MSN from Walden University. She went onto doctoral studies at Walden in nursing informatics.  One year into her studies she was awarded the Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship from the Walden. This opportunity allowed her to re-locate to Milwaukee to continue her studies and accept a position as a Nursing Informatics Research Scientist at Aurora Health Care in the Aurora Knowledge-Based Department.
